Two arrested with over three kilograms of narcotics
Police have arrested a Maldivian national and a foreign national in a joint operation conducted by Drug Enforcement and Intelligence departments in Malé and Hulhumalé, seizing over three kilograms of narcotics. The two suspects, apprehended on allegations of drug trafficking, have been remanded in custody for 15 days by the court as authorities continue their investigation into the case.

Police have announced the arrest of two individuals in possession of more than three kilograms of narcotics.
Police announced on Wednesday that two individuals were arrested during a counter-narcotics operation conducted across Malé and Hulhumalé.
The operation was conducted on July 6 through a joint effort between Drug Enforcement and Counter-Narcotics Intelligence.
Those arrested in the operation have been identified as Fathuh Adam Hassanfulhu, 44, (Registry No. 071) and Shah Altabur Rahman, 31, a Bangladeshi national.
Police stated that the two individuals were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking and distribution. Upon being produced in court for a remand hearing, both suspects were ordered to be detained for a period of 15 days.
The police are currently investigating the matter.
The police have stated that they are conducting numerous successful operations and extensive efforts to curb drug trafficking and to protect and safeguard the community from the scourge of narcotics.
