Two arrested in Malé with over a kg of narcotics
Police have arrested a 58-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman following a raid on a Male' apartment conducted on suspicion of drug trafficking. During the operation, authorities seized over one kilogram of narcotics along with a significant amount of cash, and the court has since remanded both suspects in custody for 15 days.

Police have announced the arrest of two individuals in Malé in possession of over one kilogram of narcotics.
Police stated that the two individuals were arrested on suspicion of drug use, possession, and trafficking.
The individuals arrested in connection with this case have been identified as Mohamed Umair, 58, of G. Moonlightview, Male', and Marsha Ibrahim, 38, of Gul-alaage, L. Dhanbidhoo.
Police stated that the two individuals were arrested under a court order during a joint operation conducted by Drug Enforcement and Counter-Narcotics Intelligence on October 23.
Police stated that during the operation, the suspects were apprehended and a search of a Male' apartment led to the seizure of over one kilogram of narcotics and a significant amount of cash.
When the two suspects were brought before the court to determine their remand status in connection with the case, the court ordered them to be held in custody for 15 days.
The police are currently investigating the matter.
