The greatest concern for the Maldivian people is President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu himself, stated Hussain Ziyad, the Member of Parliament for the Vaikaradhoo constituency.

Speaking at Wednesday's parliamentary sitting, MP Ziyad stated that while Maldivians face numerous challenges, their greatest concern today is President Muizzu. He further emphasized that all citizens must unite and work together to overcome this situation.

MP Ziyad stated that the cooperation of all members is essential to protect the people and the nation from President Muizzu.

No matter how long I am given at this podium, I cannot state this any differently. It was the PNC that forced our youth into this dire situation, and now, out of desperation, they are attempting to rectify it. Mr. Speaker, this issue cannot be resolved simply by addressing cigarette use. Today, the greatest concern for the Maldivian people is President Muizzu himself. To escape this predicament, all Maldivian citizens must stand united. I hope that all members representing Hulhumale’ will join us in this effort.
Hussain Ziyad, Member of Parliament for the Vaikaradhoo constituency.

While MP Ziyad spoke in this manner, Kendhoo MP Mauroof Zakir also voiced sharp criticism against President Muizzu. He noted that while the President made numerous pledges to secure office, not a single citizen has benefited from them to date.

Furthermore, MP Mauroof stated that the Maldivian people do not accept President Muizzu's administration, asserting that if a call were made tomorrow, a majority of the public would take to the streets to topple the government.

The Maldivian people do not accept this administration. Mr. Speaker, the citizens are ready to rise up and topple this government the moment we issue the call. This administration lacks public legitimacy. The President must now reflect on this reality. We must consider bringing in a new leader for the PNC—someone with a fresh vision and a better philosophy—to prepare for 2028. There is no confidence in President Muizzu.
Mauroof Zakir, Member of Parliament for the Kendhoo constituency.

MP Mauroof stated that under President Muizzu’s administration, the country’s financial, economic, and social conditions have failed to stabilize. He further expressed his belief that the current government has no genuine intention of acting in the best interests of the public.

Consequently, MP Mauroof stated that President Muizzu's administration must be removed from power.
