Firzul appointed as Managing Director of Hajj Corporation!
The Privatization and Corporatization Board has appointed Mohamed Firzul Abdulla Khaleel as the Managing Director of the Maldives Hajj Corporation, succeeding Mohamed Shakeel following his appointment to the Elections Commission. Firzul, who previously served as Under Secretary at the President's Office and as the spokesperson for the transitional office, officially assumed his new role on July 1st.

Mohamed Firzul Abdulla Khaleel has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors and the Managing Director of the Maldives Hajj Corporation Limited.
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced Firzul's appointment to the position in a post shared on X on Wednesday.
According to information released by the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB), Firzul has been appointed to the position effective from July 1, 2026.
Firzul has assumed the leadership of the Hajj Corporation following the vacancy created by the appointment of the former Managing Director, Mohamed Shakeel, to the Elections Commission.
Firzul previously served as the Under Secretary for Public Policy at the President's Office. During the early stages of the current administration, he also served as the spokesperson for the government's transitional phase.
The Maldives Hajj Corporation is a state-owned enterprise established to organize and facilitate Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages for Maldivian citizens. However, there are currently significant public concerns regarding the corporation's operations and performance.
