Members appointed to boards of three SOEs
23 ޖުލައި 2026 | ބުރާސްފަތި 09:03The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has appointed Eenas Naseer to the board of Business Center Corporation (BCC), Hussain Abdul Wahid to the Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC), and Fathimath Aziya Fathuhy to the board of MIFCO. These appointments come at a time when the PCB has issued directives to state-owned enterprises to reduce their overall workforce.

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has appointed three members to the boards of directors of three state-owned enterprises.
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced on X this Wednesday that new board members have been appointed to Business Center Corporation (BCC), Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC), and Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO).
Eenas Naseer of Meenaaz, S. Hithadhoo, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Business Center Corporation (BCC). Additionally, Hussain Abdul Wahid of Rathvillaage, HA. Thakandhoo, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC), representing the accounting and finance sector.
Furthermore, Fathimath Aziya Fathuhy, of Aabaadheege, S. Feydhoo, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of MIFCO. She was appointed to represent the field of accounting and finance.
The appointment of new board members to state-owned enterprises comes at a time when the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has mandated a 33 percent reduction in staff across government companies within a three-month period.
