Member appointed to board of company established by President to expedite development projects

IDS is a state-owned enterprise established by the President to expedite national development projects across the Maldives.

Despite the government's claims of implementing cost-cutting measures, a new appointment has been made to the board of Infrastructure Development Solutions Company Limited (IDS) for the position of Accounting and Finance Member.
This company is a 100% state-owned enterprise, established under a presidential decree issued by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu on May 30, 2024, to expedite development projects across the Maldives.
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced on Sunday that Maryam Nazleena (Registry No. RS 8557) has been appointed to the post, effective July 30, 2024.
Nazleena is a seasoned professional in finance and public sector accounting, with over 15 years of experience in financial reporting, public financial systems, and integrated financial management systems.
He currently serves as the Senior IFMIS Finance Specialist at the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises. He brings over 13 years of practical experience in the implementation and technical support of SAP systems.
Furthermore, Nazleena has trained more than 200 employees in the use of SAP FI.
He has played a pivotal role in leading financial reporting teams and monitoring state investments. Furthermore, he has made significant contributions to the implementation of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and accrual accounting reforms.
Nazleena holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of the West of England and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
