Board members appointed to four additional SOEs

The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has appointed four members to the boards of directors of four state-owned enterprises.
The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) announced on X this Thursday that new board members have been appointed to Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC), Maldives Hajj Corporation, Housing Development Corporation (HDC), and Island Aviation Services Limited.
In this regard, Abdulla Yameen (M. Shaheen) has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC), while Ahmed Mazin (G. Baanee) has been appointed to the Board of the Maldives Hajj Corporation. Additionally, Shahid Moosa (Fehivina, Dh. Bandidhoo) has been appointed as a board member of the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).
Furthermore, Maeesha Ibrahim of Thikureethu, Dhaalu Atoll Kudahuvadhoo, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Island Aviation Services Limited.
On Wednesday, the Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) appointed new members to the boards of the Business Center Corporation (BCC), Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC), and Maldives Industrial Fisheries Company (MIFCO).
The appointment of new board members to state-owned enterprises comes at a time when the government has issued directives to downsize the workforce of these companies by 33 percent.
