The Privatization and Corporatization Board (PCB) has announced the appointment of Shazhath to the board, where she will serve as the member responsible for the Accounting and Finance portfolio.
Shazhath Latheef is a seasoned finance professional who has served as a Budget Analyst at the Ministry of Finance since 2017. Her extensive professional experience includes formulating the annual national budget, evaluating baseline budgets, and conducting expenditure analysis. Additionally, she specializes in budget control and performing fiscal risk assessments.
Furthermore, she plays a leading role in providing budget-related guidance to government agencies and overseeing the preparation of key documents, including the "Budget Statistics Book" and the "Fiscal Risk Statement."
In terms of her educational background, Shazhath holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Bedfordshire, United Kingdom. Additionally, she earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Accounting and Finance from the University of the West of England.
