The Hulhudhoo Council has urged residents to remain vigilant as viral fever and influenza cases continue to surge across the district in Addu City.
In a notice issued on Sunday, the council stated that fever and influenza are spreading rapidly across Hulhudhoo. The council emphasized that it is the responsibility of every citizen to take individual precautions to ensure the safety of the entire community.
The Hulhudhoo Council has urged the public to take necessary precautions, highlighting that children, pregnant women, the elderly, and those on long-term medication are at a significantly higher risk of complications from such diseases.
Dengue fever cases are on the rise across the interconnected islands of Addu City. Consequently, local district offices have urged residents to clean their properties and surrounding areas to curb the spread.
Hulhudhoo, which was previously under the jurisdiction of the Addu City Council, is now a separate legal entity with its own dedicated council.
