Economic Minister Saeed: MVR 9 million remain unaccounted in Ministry
Auditor General has raised questions over the MVR 9 million listed as assets for Ministry of Economic Development.
The audit report for 2014 shows that records had not been maintained for Transport Authority and Labor Relations Authority had not been maintained according to the set rules in the Financial Act. Therefore, the audit report notes that MVR 9.94 million cannot be accounted for.
Auditor General notes that the Ministry must maintain the records as said in the Financial Act. The Office had also instructed to update the asset registry and include the final figure in the asset statement.
