Commissioner of Police meets family of the late Ahmed Asif

In a condolence message to the family of Sub-Inspector of Police Ahmed Asif, who passed away while performing his official duties, the President honored his sincere service and assured that the government would provide all necessary support to his family. Commissioner of Police Ali Shujau has met with the family of the late Sub-Inspector of Police Ahmed Asif to convey a message of condolence from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.

In his message, the President expressed that the passing of the late Sub-Inspector of Police Ahmed Asif while performing his official duties is a profound loss for both his family and the entire nation. He further commended the late officer’s steadfastness and sincere dedication in fulfilling his national service. The President also extended his deepest condolences and assured the family that the government would provide all necessary assistance and support during this difficult time.

Furthermore, the Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology, Ali Ihusaan, along with the Commissioner of Police and the entire staff of the Maldives Police Service, extended their deepest condolences to the family.

The Commissioner reaffirmed that the Maldives Police Service will always remember the late Ahmed Asif’s dedicated service and sacrifices to the nation with the utmost respect and honor.

Sub-Inspector of Police Ahmed Asif passed away in the early hours of June 11 while performing his official duties. The police service stated that his passing is a profound loss to both the institution and the nation he served with unwavering loyalty.

The Maldives Police Service has stated that the exemplary conduct and invaluable contributions of Ahmed Asif during his tenure will always be remembered with the utmost respect.
