Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Shifan has been removed from his position as the spokesperson for the Maldives Police Service.
RaajjeMV has learned that Shifan was removed from the post on Sunday. Superintendent of Police Arif has been appointed to replace him. However, the reason for Shifan's removal remains unclear.
Regarding the matter, Shifan stated that a new police spokesperson was appointed on Sunday and advised that any official comments should be sought directly from the Maldives Police Service.
