Mohamed Shakeel appointed to the Elections Commission
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially appointed Mohamed Shakeel as a member of the Elections Commission. Following a swearing-in ceremony held at the President's Office on Wednesday, the President presented Shakeel with his letter of appointment.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Mr. Mohamed Shakeel (Dhafthar No. RS 13449) as a member of the Elections Commission.
In a ceremony held at the President's Office, Mr. Mohamed Shakeel was sworn in as a member of the Elections Commission and signed the oath of office. The oath was administered by Supreme Court Justice Honorable Al-Usthaz Mohamed Saleem. During the ceremony, the President officially presented Mr. Shakeel with his letter of appointment to the commission.
In accordance with Article 167(a) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives, Mr. Mohamed Shakeel has been appointed as a member of the Elections Commission. This appointment was made pursuant to Article 168(b) of the Constitution and Section 4(a) of Act No. 8/2008 (Elections Commission Act).
