Adam Naseer resigns shortly after assuming new post

Adam Naseer, who resigned as the Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage, has stepped down from his new role as a Presidential Advisor just moments after being appointed.
Adam Naseer officially assumed his duties as the "Special Advisor on Dhivehi Language and National Identity" on Tuesday. In response to inquiries from RaajjeMV, the government spokesperson confirmed that this is a newly established position at the ministerial level.
The spokesperson stated that the President's Office will share details regarding this position very shortly.
However, shortly thereafter, the spokesperson announced via X (formerly Twitter) that Adam Naseer had resigned from his post as Advisor. The spokesperson further noted that Naseer did not disclose a reason for his resignation.
Despite the government's claims that efforts to "downsize" the administration are in full swing, the current reality suggests otherwise, as new positions continue to be created and individuals are being appointed to various roles with high salaries. Meanwhile, ordinary citizens who were recruited to state-owned enterprises such as Fenaka Corporation ahead of the elections are now being dismissed from their jobs under various pretexts.
