President sends greetings on Azerbaijan’s Independence Day
As the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and the Maldives approaches, the President expressed his confidence that the foundation of mutual trust and friendship between the two nations will continue to strengthen in the years ahead.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended his congratulations and well wishes to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Heydar oghlu Aliyev, and Prime Minister Ali Hidayat oghlu Asadov, on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day.
In his congratulatory letter to President Aliyev, the President noted the upcoming 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. He expressed his confidence that the robust ties, built on a foundation of mutual trust, will continue to strengthen in the years ahead.
Furthermore, in his letter to Prime Minister Asadov, the President highlighted the significance of the robust and enduring relationship established between the two nations. He noted that this strong bond is evidenced by the mutual understanding shared by both countries and the priority placed on enhancing bilateral cooperation. The President also expressed his confidence in the potential to further strengthen joint efforts in areas of mutual interest that are beneficial to both nations.
Azerbaijan celebrates its Independence Day on May 28th, commemorating the establishment of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic on May 28, 1918.
