Furthermore, as several cases of measles have been reported in the Greater Male' Area, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has emphasized the importance of taking precautionary measures to minimize the risk of the disease spreading.
Consequently, the authorities have shared key safety guidelines and precautions for travelers to follow.
In this regard, authorities have urged individuals experiencing fever or symptoms of respiratory illness to stay at home and refrain from participating in public gatherings and social activities.
Furthermore, authorities have advised individuals to seek prompt medical attention if their condition worsens. When visiting healthcare facilities, patients are urged to wear masks and avoid using public transportation.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has advised individuals suspected of having measles to remain in isolation until their test results are confirmed. Furthermore, the agency emphasized the importance of wearing masks properly to cover the nose and mouth in crowded or enclosed spaces—such as airport terminals, ferry lounges, and public transport—alongside maintaining hygiene through regular handwashing with soap or using hand sanitizer.
