MDP Chairperson Election: Compliance Committee announced and voter list opened for disputes
The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has established a compliance committee for its upcoming chairperson election and opened the floor for voters' list disputes until May 6. Additionally, the party has invited members interested in serving as election officials for the June 12 polls to submit their applications by May 30. To streamline the process, the party has arranged for all election-related complaints to be submitted via text message or through a dedicated online form.

The compliance committee for the MDP chairperson election has been announced, and the window for submitting complaints regarding the voters' list is now open.
The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) has announced that the Elections Committee has established a Complaints Committee for the upcoming Chairperson election, scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2026. The committee was formed in accordance with Article 46(a) of the party’s Election Regulations.

The MDP has stated that any complaints regarding the election should be submitted via the provided Google link or by messaging 7219637.
Furthermore, the list of eligible voters has been officially published. The MDP stated that the window for submitting complaints regarding the list will remain open until 14:00 on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
An announcement has been made to recruit officials for the upcoming election. The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) stated that members interested in volunteering as election officials for the Chairperson election—scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2026—must submit their applications via the provided Google Form link before 2:00 PM on May 30, 2026. The party specified that applicants must not be actively involved in any candidate's campaign. Furthermore, the Elections Committee will be responsible for assigning selected volunteers to their respective polling stations across Male'.
