While the specific reason for Minister Mariya's resignation remains unclear, she is not the only cabinet member to step down. Health Minister Abdulla Nazim, Defense Minister Ghassan Maumoon, and Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts Ibrahim Waheed (Asward) have also resigned from their posts.
Furthermore, on Tuesday, the Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, and Minister of Social and Family Development Dr. Aishath Shiham were removed from their posts.
