Tourism Minister Thariq resigns from office
Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim and four other cabinet ministers have resigned from their posts, alongside the dismissal of several other government ministers. While the government has yet to disclose the reasons behind these sudden changes, the move has triggered a significant shake-up within the administration's top leadership.

Minister of Environment and Tourism Thoriq Ibrahim, a member of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s cabinet, has resigned from his post.
While Minister Thoriq has resigned from his post, the specific reason for his departure remains unclear. In addition to Thoriq, several other cabinet members have also stepped down, including Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare Dr. Mariyam Mariya, Health Minister Abdulla Nazim, Defense Minister Ghassan Maumoon, and Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts Ibrahim Waheed (Asward).
Furthermore, on Tuesday, the Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, and Minister of Social and Family Development Dr. Aishath Shiham were removed from their posts.
