Youth Minister Asward resigns from office
The Ministers of Youth, Health, and Defense have resigned from their posts, alongside the dismissal of three other cabinet members, though the specific reasons for these structural changes remain unclear. Minister of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts, Ibrahim Waheed (Asward), has resigned from President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s cabinet.
While the reason for Minister Asward's resignation remains unclear, he is not the only cabinet member to step down. Health Minister Abdulla Nazim and Defense Minister Ghassan Maumoon have also resigned from their posts.
Furthermore, on Tuesday, Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, and Minister of Social and Family Development Dr. Aishath Shiham were removed from their posts.
