Aminiya School establishes sensory classroom with BML's support
Bank of Maldives (BML) has supported the development of a modern sensory classroom at Aminiya School, specifically designed to benefit over 170 students with special educational needs. This initiative is part of the bank’s ongoing commitment to creating inclusive learning environments for children with disabilities. To date, BML has significantly enhanced special education across the Maldives by providing essential equipment and resources to SEN classrooms in more than 40 schools nationwide.

As part of its ongoing initiative to provide essential educational resources for students with special needs, Bank of Maldives (BML) has developed a dedicated sensory classroom at Aminiya School, named "iWonder."
More than 170 students are currently enrolled in the Special Educational Needs (SEN) classes at Aminiya School.
The classroom has been designed to provide an optimal learning environment for students. The bank funded the entire renovation project and supplied all the necessary equipment. Significant structural improvements were made to the classroom, alongside the provision of specialized resources aimed at fostering a more conducive atmosphere for student learning.
Bank of Maldives has a long-standing history of supporting the development of Special Educational Needs (SEN) classrooms and providing essential equipment to various schools. Notable beneficiaries of this initiative include Imaduddin School, Hiriya School, Salahuddin School, Veymandoo School, and Gaafaru School. Furthermore, over the past few years, the Bank has donated necessary equipment to SEN classrooms in more than 40 schools across the Maldives.
