BML celebrates top talent in landmark staff awards night

Bank of Maldives (BML) has marked a night of recognition and achievement as it honored exceptional employee performance at its prestigious Staff Awards held the previous evening.
The highly regarded Employee of the Year Award was awarded to Misbah Abdul Rasheed, Head of Business Systems in the Technology Division, acknowledging his outstanding performance and contributions throughout 2025. Yuzna Naseem, Head of Property in the Properties and Administration Division, received the Leadership Excellence Award for her strong leadership and meaningful impact. Additional awards were given to both individuals and teams across major categories such as Outstanding Team Achievement, Project Excellence, and Innovation Catalyst.

The CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement was presented to five employees in recognition of their significant contributions to the bank’s performance and long-term strategic direction. These recipients demonstrated notable leadership and dedication, making an impact within their respective roles as well as across broader strategic planning, execution, and overall business outcomes. The awardees were Moosa Munsif Ahmed, Head of Strategy and Change; Husham Saeed, Director of Technology; Rashfa Jaufar, Chief Credit Officer; Hassan Shaam, Chief Properties and Administration Officer; and Adly Ahmed Didi, Chief Information Officer.

During the event, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef highlighted that 2025 represents a defining milestone in the bank’s 43-year history, describing it as the most successful year so far. He noted that, in addition to strong financial results, the achievement reflects the bank’s growing role in advancing economic development across the Maldives. He emphasized that this progress is driven by the dedication, professionalism and ambition of its employees, while recognizing those who exceeded expectations and contributed to this milestone year, continuing to inspire future success.
