Maldives Homeland State Minister Ahmed Siddeeq has stated that Iran is not an aggressor nation, asserting that allegations of Iranian attacks are part of a propaganda campaign by the United States to draw other countries into war.
In a post shared on X, Siddeeq stated that it is a profound humiliation for the Islamic Ummah that the leaders of Arab and Islamic governments remain subservient to the United States. He further noted that this is a concern not only for Muslims but for anyone who cares about the preservation of global peace.

Siddeeq stated that he sees no factual basis for the claims suggesting that Iran intended to launch an attack on Diego Garcia, located south of the Maldives. He further noted that, based on the nature of the reports, they appear to be propaganda aimed at drawing other nations into a conflict and aligning Western powers with the United States to justify an attack on Iran.
Siddeeq noted that Iran is a nation that provides prior warnings before launching any military strikes. He further highlighted that Iran continues to operate within the bounds of international standards, whereas the attacks carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran violate all legal frameworks and should be characterized as acts of terrorism.
Looking at the news, it appears to be a propaganda tactic designed to draw other nations into the conflict. By suggesting that Iran possesses weaponry with a range exceeding its previously disclosed missile capabilities, it creates a pretext for Western nations to align with the United States in launching an attack against Iran.Ahmed Siddeeq
Despite a state minister openly launching a verbal tirade against the United States, it is notable that the government has maintained a lukewarm stance regarding the ongoing conflict. The administration appears hesitant to issue a formal condemnation of the U.S., specifically refusing to denounce the military strikes being carried out against Iranian interests.
