President Muizzu has assured that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East will not lead to shortages of fuel or food supplies, further emphasizing that the government remains proactive in taking all necessary measures to safeguard the national interests of the Maldives amidst the evolving situation.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East have not caused any shortages in the Maldives' supplies of fuel and food.

Speaking to the press on Monday, President Muizzu highlighted several measures being taken by the government in response to the conflict in the Middle East. He further noted that a committee specifically established for this purpose is actively working on the matter.

President Muizzu stated that the government is collaborating with international partners to address ongoing transportation challenges. The President further noted that preparations are underway to mitigate potential obstacles facing the tourism sector.

Furthermore, speaking at the press conference, President Muizzu highlighted that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East would not lead to shortages of fuel or food supplies.

There are no concerns regarding fuel supplies as the situation is fully under control. There is no reason to worry about any potential fuel shortages, and there are currently no issues regarding food security either.

President Muizzu stated that the government will continue to undertake extensive efforts to protect the national interests of the Maldives amidst the ongoing developments.

In this meeting, held after a long period without addressing the media, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu further announced that he will meet with journalists every Monday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The President added that this schedule will be maintained unless it conflicts with official travel or an extraordinary meeting.
