Man arrested for smuggling two kilograms of drugs into Addu City by air and two youths apprehended with narcotics in Hulhumale'
Police have arrested a 58-year-old Indian national at Gan International Airport for the possession of two kilograms of narcotics, while two additional suspects were apprehended in Hulhumalé after patrolling officers discovered over 143 grams of illicit drugs during a stop-and-search operation; authorities are currently conducting further investigations into both cases.

Authorities have arrested a man for attempting to smuggle two kilograms of narcotics into Addu City by air, along with two others found in possession of drugs in Hulhumale'.
The individual attempting to smuggle drugs into Addu City was apprehended at Gan International Airport.
The individual arrested in connection with this case has been identified as Saldin Valimohmad Rufin, a 58-year-old Indian national. He was taken into custody under a court order on March 17, after being detained by Customs authorities and subsequently handed over to the police.
In a separate development, two individuals were arrested in Hulhumale on drug-related charges. The suspects were apprehended by the Hulhumale Special Enforcement Team during a routine street patrol, after being stopped and searched due to suspicious behavior.
On the night of March 18, the two individuals were intercepted and searched while traveling on a motorcycle along Midhili Magu in Hulhumale'. During the search, authorities discovered 87 rubber packets containing substances suspected to be narcotics. The preliminary weight of the seized substances is 143.4 grams.
The individuals arrested in connection with this case have been identified as Ahmed Zayan, 25, of Link, L. Gan (Thundi district), and Hussain Iyad, 23, of Dream, R. Maduvvari. Upon being produced before the court for a remand hearing, both suspects were ordered to be remanded in custody for a period of five days.
Police are currently investigating both cases.
