MDP President Abdulla Shahid has departed for Thaa and Faafu Atolls to lead campaign for upcoming local council elections
During this visit, the President is scheduled to conduct door-to-door campaigning, inaugurate local campaign centers, and hold high-level discussions with candidates. The MDP has been intensifying its campaign activities across various islands since February.

The President of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), Abdulla Shahid, has departed for Thaa and Faafu Atolls to campaign for the upcoming Local Council and Women's Development Committee elections.
MDP President Abdulla Shahid, along with Members of Parliament Ibrahim Nazil and Ahmed Didi (representing the Maradhoo constituency), as well as several general party members, are participating in the campaign for the Local Council and Women's Development Committee elections.
During this trip, campaign activities are scheduled to take place across the islands of Faafu Atoll, in addition to those in Thaa Atoll. Following the official launch of the campaign for the upcoming local council and Women’s Development Committee elections on the night of February 12, the MDP has been conducting a series of visits to various islands across the atolls.
During this trip, which includes the participation of MDP President Abdulla Shahid, door-to-door campaign activities and the inauguration of campaign centers are scheduled to take place across both atolls.
Furthermore, he will meet with the candidates to engage in high-level discussions.
