Highlighting the positive transformations initiated by Male’ City Mayor Adam Azim, Nazil emphasized that elections provide a crucial opportunity for leaders to engage directly with the public and understand their needs. Asserting that the MDP remains the only party consistently working alongside the people, he urged citizens to cast their votes for the party to ensure continued progress.

Ibrahim Nazil, the leader of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) parliamentary group, has stated that MDP members have always been the ones dedicated to securing development for the people.
Speaking at a campaign event for the West Henveiru constituency, Nazil emphasized the critical importance of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) securing the Male’ City Mayoralty, the presidency of the Women’s Development Committee, and all local council seats across Male’ and the entire country in the upcoming elections. Nazil further stated that the Maldivian public is now clearly aware of this reality.
Urging citizens to vote for the scales symbol, Nazil stated that those aligned with the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) have always stood by the people. He emphasized that MDP members are consistently dedicated to securing development for the public, and therefore called on the electorate to cast their votes in favor of the party.
It is clearly evident to all of you the significant transformation Male' has undergone since Adam Azim took office. We should all take pride in the rapid changes brought to our capital city in such a short span of time. The development we are witnessing, which reflects the progress and the aspirations of the people of Male', must continue under the leadership of our Mayor. Nazil stated that electing all MDP candidates in the upcoming local council elections, particularly those across Male' and the rest of the country, would ensure a better future for all citizens.
Nazil expressed his full confidence that MDP members will actively participate in those efforts.
Nazil stated that the reality behind the referendum is an attempt to avoid engaging with the public. He remarked that the MDP has no other choice but to consolidate elections. Nazil noted that holding elections in this manner reduces the extent to which leaders are required to reach out to the citizens. He further emphasized that when leaders are compelled to engage with the public, it leads to genuine development for the people. Nazil concluded that this is the primary reason why the public should reject the referendum.
