President appoints new member to Elections Commission
Riffath Abdulla, appointed to the Elections Commission by the President, was officially sworn into office today before Supreme Court Justice Mohamed Saleem.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Al-Usthadh Riffath Abdulla of Kinara, M. Vevah, as a member of the Elections Commission, on Monday.
Uz. Riffath Abdulla was sworn in as a member of the Elections Commission during a ceremony held at the President's Office on Monday afternoon. The oath of office was administered by Supreme Court Justice Honorable Uz. Mohamed Saleem, following which Uz. Riffath Abdulla signed the declaration of oath. During the ceremony, the President officially presented the letter of appointment to the newly inducted member.
In accordance with Article 167 (a) of the Constitution of the Republic of Maldives, Al-Usthadh Rifaath Abdulla has been appointed as a member of the Elections Commission. The appointment was made pursuant to Article 168 (b) of the Constitution and Article 4 (a) of Law No. 8/2008 (Elections Commission Act).
