Authorities received reports of the incident at approximately 6:05 a.m. on Thursday morning, involving a 60-year-old Maldivian man who had fallen.

An elderly person has fallen from the fifth floor of the Male’ Hiya-1 apartment complex.

Police reported on Thursday that they received information regarding an individual falling from Male' Hiya-1 at approximately 6:05 a.m. on February 5, 2026.

The police stated that the individual involved was a 60-year-old Maldivian man, who fell from the fifth floor of the Male’ Hiya-1 apartment complex.

Police further stated that the individual is currently receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). No further details regarding the extent of the injuries have been disclosed.

The police are currently investigating the matter.
