Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has confirmed that the man who was found with injuries on Majeedhee Magu in the capital Malé City, did not sustain any serious injuries.

Speaking to RaajjeMV, hospital officials revealed that a man with injuries was brought in late Wednesday night.

After receiving emergency treatment, the man was discharged from the hospital at around 6am.

IGMH confirmed that he did not suffer any serious injuries.

Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that they received a report regarding a wounded man found lying near the ‘Sorry Boys’ shop on Majeedhee Magu, at around 1:25am on Thursday.

Speaking to RaajjeMV, the police institution confirmed that further investigations are currently underway and that no one has been arrested so far.

MPS did not disclose how the man was injured.

It remains unclear whether it was an attack, or a dispute between him and someone else.

A video of the wounded man has been circulating on social media.

Some social media users have been claiming that he was jumped by a group of individuals.
