In response to an inquiry by RaajjeMV, police confirmed that efforts are underway to enforce a court order requiring Mamdhooh to be produced in court under custody by 2pm on 27 December 2025. Police stated that all necessary actions are being taken to comply with the court’s directive.
Manday’s failure to attend his scheduled hearing on Thursday led to the postponement of sentencing to Saturday.
During the Criminal Court proceedings, Judge Ali Nadeem stated that although Manday’s legal team had requested an adjournment, Manday had been properly informed that the hearing would proceed as scheduled. The court therefore confirmed that Manday would be dealt with in accordance with established legal procedures applicable to individuals who fail to appear before the court.
The state has filed more than 100 charges against Manday in connection with allegations of deception and fraud related to the sale of apartments at K-Park Residence, a development project undertaken by Hanbo Company Private Limited in Hulhumalé.
MPS concluded its investigation into the case and submitted the charges to the Criminal Court on 12 December 2023. The case involves 51 victims who reportedly suffered financial losses.
If the charges against Manday are proven, he could face a lengthy prison sentence.
