President Dr. Muizzu has announced plans to establish a robust tracking system to monitor all tourist activities within the Maldives, aimed at eliminating fraudulent practices and ensuring fairness across the industry. Reminding investors that resorts remain state property, the President issued a stern warning that the new measures would safeguard national interests and uphold integrity within the tourism sector.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that an official system to monitor and track tourists visiting the Maldives will be formally established within one month.

President Muizzu made these remarks while speaking to the press during a ceremony held at the President's Office on Monday to ratify several bills passed by the People's Majlis.

"Within one month, we will officially establish a system that tracks every tourist from the moment they enter the Maldives—knowing their arrival, their destination, where they stayed, and when they departed," President Muizzu stated.

President Muizzu has issued a stern warning to tourism operators, stating that while they may have evaded regulations through deceptive practices in the past, such loopholes will no longer be tolerated under his administration.

"Fraud will not be possible, you see; that opportunity will not be granted."

Muizzu stated that he acts as he does because he "knows how to get things done."

"This administration will remain firm in upholding rights; we will ensure justice is served without bias and without regard for a person's identity or status."

President Muizzu questioned why a select few have amassed wealth while the rest of the population is forced to live in hardship.

Expressing strong dissatisfaction toward investors in the tourism sector, President Muizzu stated that resorts are state assets and that no party should be under any illusion otherwise.
