Victory SC defeats New Radiant SC in second round encounter

Victory Sports Club has claimed a hard-fought 3-1 victory over New Radiant Sports Club in their second-round clash of the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League (DDPL).
The match, played on Friday night at Galolhu National Stadium, saw New Radiant take an early lead, only for Victory to mount a stunning comeback and secure all three points.
New Radiant struck first in the fourth minute, with Gomes da Silva converting a chance created by Ali “Sentey” Fasir.
Despite their early advantage, New Radiant failed to capitalize on further opportunities to extend their lead.
Victory responded in the 29th minute when foreign player Milos Lechny scored, with a well-timed assist from Ahmed “Rizey” Rizwan, who had joined Victory from Club Eagles.
Early in the second half, Lechny found the net again, putting Victory ahead 2-1. Victory then sealed the win three minutes before the final whistle, with foreign player Javohir Azamov scoring to make it 3-1.
This win marks a redemption for Victory, who had been defeated by New Radiant in their first-round encounter.
