Rescue officers have continued their search for 43-year-old Mohamed Shafeeu, who has been missing since July.
Shafeeu has been missing since July 14th and was last seen near Fuvahmulah island.
While a resident from the island said that the search for Shafeeu has been ongoing, with officers of the Maldives Police Service being active on the island, they have yet to make any substantial progress in said search.
His family has expressed concern that several media outlets reported Shafeeu to have been suffering from a mental condition, which they refuted. However, they said that he had been ill and had aches in his head and stomach when he disappeared.
