Junior Carrom Tournament: Azlaan and Reem win U15 Championship
Young carrom talents shine at Junior Tournament, with Azlaan and Reem clinching singles titles amidst fierce competition. Doubles events see new champions emerge, setting the stage for thrilling Under-19 finals.
Azlaan and Reem who won the Under-15 singles event for boys and girls' championship
In the Junior Carrom Tournament organized by the Carrom Association of Maldives, Azlaan Auzal won the championship in the Under-15 singles event for boys, while Aishath Reem secured the championship for girls.
In the boys' singles final, Azlaan competed against Ismail Shamhaan Shah. Azlaan emerged victorious in the game. Ali Ahkam secured third place in the boys' singles event.
In the girls' singles final, Reem triumphed over Hajara bint Mohamed Thoufeeq Ali. Ziuna bint Nasheed took third place in the girls' event.
In addition to this, in the boys' doubles final, Abdulla Kayaan bin Shaaz and Zahil Zalif Ahmed won the championship by defeating the pair of Abdul Maalik Hassan Abdul Latheef and Ismail Shamhaan Shah. The third place in boys' doubles was secured by the pair of Azlaan and Yoosuf Izkaan.
In the girls' doubles final, the pair of Aishath Alysha Nafiu and Ziuna won against the pair of Sofia Sunaak Shakir and Sofia Naura Shifau. The third place in girls' doubles was won by the pair of Reem and Fathimath Zaash Ziyad.
Further, the Junior Carrom Tournament also includes competitions for the Under-19 age group. The final matches for this age category are scheduled for Friday.
