Two individuals have been injured in a dangerous accident take took place on the Link Road of Gan island of Laamu atoll.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that an accident involving a motorcycle traveling from north to south and a car on Gan Link Road was reported at 7:03pm on Saturday.
The police institution highlighted that the two people on the motorcycle suffered numerous injuries in the crash.
A 44-year-old Maldivian man, who was driving the motorcycle fractured his leg in two places, suffered a head injury, and sustained other injuries. The man who was riding on the back of the motorcycle, 44, also suffered head injuries in two places, fractured his right leg in two places, and sustained other injuries as well.

Additionally, the police said that the 62-year-old man driving the car involved in the crash was not injured.
Both vehicles involved in the accident have sustained various degrees of damage.
Further investigations are currently underway in connection with the accident.
Dangerous accidents have occurred on Gan Link Road before as well, resulting in the loss of lives. Relevant authorities have appealed to vehicle drivers to exercise special caution and drive within speed limits.
