A new Chief Commercial Officer has been appointed to First National Finance Corporation.
Mariyam Visam was appointed as the Chief Commercial Officer of First National Finance Corporation earlier this week.
The Board of Directors of company appointed Mariyam Visam as the company's Chief Commercial Officer. She assumed the position on 16 March 2025.
As Chief Commercial Officer, Mariyam Visam's responsibilities include developing and implementing business strategies in line with First National's business objectives, overseeing product development, managing sales and marketing teams, and establishing strategic partnerships.
Mariyam Visam has over 20 years of experience in corporate governance, business and financial regulations, and leadership. In addition to serving as the Registrar of Companies, she served as a board member of the Capital Market Development Authority (CMDA) from 2014 to 2025 and also chaired its Technical Committee.
She currently serves as the president of the Rotary Club of Malé City. She also works as a member of the Governing Board of the Maldives International Financial Services Authority (MIFSA).
Mariyam Visam holds a Master's degree in Business Economics from the University of Queensland, Australia, and a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from Northumbria University, UK.
