The age of wholeheartedly and blindly following a state’s leader is gone, MP Saud Hussein has said.

He said in a tweet on Monday night, that following leaders blindly, and having them jail and punish those that do not are policies that have been outdate since the 16^th century.

While the parliamentarian says this, he has been apprehended and remanded a number of times by the Criminal Court. On August 20^th, he was released with provisions.

Some of said provisions include not leaving the house between the hours of 21:00 and 07:00 and not meeting or interacting with anyone who could be a potential witness in the prosecution’s case against him.

In a tweet following the aforesaid, he called on the government to abandon its ‘totalitarian tactics’ and work to build trust amongst the public.
