Majlis approval sought for four ministers
Among the changes made to the ministries, the Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development has been abolished

Approval has been sought from the People’s Majlis to the cabinet shuffle involving four ministers.
Changes were made to the Cabinet of Ministers, and the names of some ministries have been changed as well. The ministers appointed to the Cabinet were sent for parliamentary approval at an extraordinary sitting held on Thursday.
The ministers submitted for approval include Moosa Zameer from Buruni island of Thaa atoll as the Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr. Ali Haidar Ahmed as the Minister of Higher Education, Labor and Skills Development, Dr. Mariyam Mariya as the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare and Dr. Abdulla Muththalib from Fiyoari island of Gaaf Dhaal atoll as the Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure.
The shuffle has been sent to the Government Oversight Committee of the People's Majlis for review.
Among the changes made to the ministries, the Ministry of Housing, Land and Urban Development has been abolished, and its functions have been transferred to the Ministry of Finance and Planning and the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure.
