Bank of Maldives (BML) has extended its partnership with the Maldives Surfing Association (MSA).

The country’s national bank in a statement issued on Sunday revealed that their proud partnership with MSA as the official sponsor for the national surfing teams including both senior and junior teams, has been extended.

BML will support the annual National Junior Surfing Championship to promote the development of young talent in the sport as part of this partnership.

Karl Stumke, BML’s CEO and Managing Director highlighted that surfing is becoming a very popular sport in the Maldives, attracting both local and international enthusiasts and that athletes have a lot of potential to excel in regional and global competitions, as they have demonstrated in the past.

Mohamed Sobah, President of MSA express delight to continue their partnership with BML Islamic.

Expressing appreciation to BML for their ongoing support to national teams, Sobah praised the bank’s passion to develop sports and young athletes.

The country’s national bank remains committed to play a significant role in developing sporting talent in the Maldives through youth development programs and partnerships with national associations.

BML also partnered with Maldives Olympic Committee to offer sports scholarships to help top athletes excel at national and international levels.
