Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has departed for China, on an official visit.
VP Hussain departed to China on Monday night.
The Vice President is visiting China to attend the China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development Cooperation.
The ‘China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Development Cooperation' is organized by the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA).
The forum is scheduled to be held from 07 December to 08 December, 2023 in Kunming, Yunnan Province in China.
During his visit, the Vice President is scheduled address the forum and hold meetings with Chinese officials.
Vice President Hussain is accompanied by Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed.
The Vice President will arrive in the Maldives after attending the high-level event to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR75) to be held in Geneva from December 11–12, 2023.
