Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of Police Board
Ahmed Shareef has been appointed as the Chairperson of Police Board.
Shareef was appointed the Chairperson of Police Board during a board meeting.
The meeting also saw Aishath Noora Mohamed being appointed as the Vice Chairperson of the Police Board.
After dismissing some incumbent members of the board, President Dr. Mohammed Muizzu appointed new members to the Police Board last week.
The Police Board consists of seven members. They are two members that the president appoints, three members with professional training and experience, and two members that the public nominates.
