A man has been critically injured in a dangerous road accident in the congested capital, Malé City.
The Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the accident took place at around 5am on Wednesday, near Red Wave store located on Majeedhee Magu.
The accident occurred after an unlicensed motorcyclist, 22, crashed against the man who was going by foot, reportedly after performing Fajr prayer at the nearby mosque.
Injured in the crash was a 50-year-old Maldivian man.
He was rushed to ADK Hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
It has been reported that the man’s condition is critical.
Investigations into the accident are reported to be underway .
