Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has disclosed that the second phase of the Road Construction Project of Ungoofaaru Island of Raa Atoll is nearing completion.
MTCC on Sunday disclosed that the project is well underway, with sidewalk paving works being nearly 98 percent completed.
The company has so far completed the installation work of storm-water tanks and settlement tanks, as well as the installation of light-posts.
Scope of work of the project involve a carriageway of 16,488 square meters, sidewalks, storm-water management system, road lighting and road markings.
The road development project was contracted to MTCC by Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure and was mobilized on 12th June 2019.
The project is valued at MVR. 30.3 million.
