Judge Adam Aarif has been made chief justice of the Criminal Court.
RaajjeMV understands that Judge Aarif was informed of his appointment through a letter on Tuesday.
The Judicial Services Commission had on Monday night transferred Chief Judge Abdul Bari to the Juvenile Court. The commission had also transferred Criminal Court judge Ahmed Shakeel to the Family Court.
Judge Aarif was appointed to the Criminal Court in August last year. He had served as a state prosecutor before this.
