The First Couple of Maldives has arrived in Alifushi island of Raa Atoll.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed is on an official trip of two days to Alifushi Island.
The First Couple arrived in Alifushi on Thursday morning and received a warm welcome from island residence.
President's Office disclosed that President Solih and First Lady Fazna will be attending the official function to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2022 during the trip.
Additionally, the visit will also see President Solih meeting with the Raa Atoll Council members, as well as members of Alifushi Island Council members and Women’s Development Committee (WDC).
Moreover, the President and the First Lady will inaugurate the new multi-purpose hall built at the island’s school.
The First Lady will also attend a community festival organized by the island council.
A senior delegation of the government is accompanying the First Couple on the visit.
