Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has stated that the Fuvahmulah City Internal Roads Construction Project sees 77 percent progress.
MTCC states that the project is well underway.
The company notes that asphalt laying work is currently ongoing with 40 percent completion.
The project scope includes 122,659 square meters of sub-base preparation, 95,239 square meters of asphalt wearing course, and 27,450 square meters of footpath preparation.
Furthermore, MTCC will mark the roads, install lamps, and carry out storm water drainage work totaling 19,940 meters.
The project is valued at MVR 331.05 million.
According to MTCC, the project will include the construction of 31 roadways totaling 15,932 meters in length.
MTCC was contracted the project by the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on 4 July 2019.
The project was mobilized on 23 July 2019.
