The First Couple of Maldives has departed on an official visit to Alifushi island of Raa Atoll
The First Couple of Maldives has departed on an official visit to Alifushi island of Raa Atoll.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed departed to Alifushi on Thursday morning.
President's Office disclosed that this is a two-day visit.
The Office went on to share that the First Couple will attend the official function to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2022 during the trip.
Additionally, the visit will also see President Solih meeting with the Raa Atoll Council members, as well as members of Alifushi Island Council members and Women’s Development Committee (WDC).
Moreover, the President and the First Lady will inaugurate the new multi-purpose hall built at the island’s school.
The First Lady will also attend a community festival organized by the island council.
