Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has delivered the first shipment of concrete blocks required for R. Maakurathu Harbor Development Project, to the project site.
MTCC states that the shipment of concrete blocks was delivered to Maakurathu on September 21, 2022.
Additionally, MTCC has disclosed that dredging works of new harbor basin is ongoing with 87 percent project completion.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC will be doing harbor dredging operations of 45,024 cubic meters.
The company will also be doing construction of a 140-meter breakwater, a 129-meter quay wall, a 85-meter revetment and a 28-meter groyne.
Moreover, MTCC will also do installation of a 641-square-meter pavement.
The value of the project is MVR 26.67 million.
