Dhivehi League Qualifications: Club teenage wins point against Da Grande

Teenage and Da Grande tied in the qualifications round 2 – 2, on Wednesday evening

Runner-up of the Second Division football tournament, Club Teenage has secured a point from Da Grande, in the ongoing Dhivehi Premier League qualifications.

Da Grande was pushed into playing the qualification round after falling to the bottom of the Dhivehi Premier League table.

Teenage and Da Grande tied in the qualifications round 2 – 2, on Wednesday evening.

Club Teenage came up from behind and tied the score, at a time Da Grande was in the lead. The latter scored the first goal five minutes before the whistle was blown for the end of the first half.

With Nicholas Hugo having scored Da Grande’s first goal, the second goal was scored by Mohamed Sharih.

Club Teenage’s first goal was scored by Bahjath Abdul Azeez, within a minute of Sharih scoring the second goal for Da Grande.

The second goal by Club Teenage came from Ali Ahmed Ali Afifi, in the additional time played.

Super United Sports (SUS) won the first match in the Dhivehi Premier League qualifications earlier on Wednesday, against Buru Sports Club.

SUS will go head-to-head with Teenage in the third game of the qualifications, on Saturday evening.

The fourth qualifications game will be between Da Grande and Buru Sports Club.

The two teams who stand a chance to play in the Dhivehi Premier League of the next season are the two teams that attain the highest number of points in the league round amongst the four teams.
